The science of acupuncture is an important component of traditional Chinese medicine used in the prevention and treatment of disease. The dominant function of Acupuncture is to regulate the circulation of Qi (vital energy) and blood. There is a network of channels running throughout the body through which our energy flows (QI). When Qi is abundant harmonious and free flowing, health exists. When Qi becomes blocked, distressed, or weak, disease occurs. By inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body, that can affect Qi in the channels and encourage the body's natural healing process. Acupuncture is a holistic medicine which treats the entire person. Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by an experienced, well-trained practitioner using sterile needles.

Ear Acupuncture, or Auricular Therapy is a form of Chinese medicine. Its patterns follow the principles of Chinese acupuncture. It is a micro acupuncture technique like reflexology. The principles of reflexology basing on somatotopic maps that reflex to body parts and organs. Looking at the ear the distribution of points roughly corresponds to the image of an inverted embryo in mother’s abdomen. Points for the head, neck, and sensory organs near the bottom, rising up along the ear to the back and limbs with organs in the center. Auricular acupuncture is a diagnostic and treatment system based on normalizing the body's dysfunction through stimulation of points on the ear. It can help relieve pain, improve sleep, treat anxiety, stress, wight loss, smoking cessation and more. Therapist insert thin needles or place small seeds from the vaccaria plant on various pressure points on the ear. The needles will be in for 15 minutes or the seeds will be held in place with small pieces of adhesive tape. The process with the seeds is painless, and the seeds stay on for up to 3-5 days.
